Finland to host seminar on visual journalism

The Scandinavian Society for News Design recently opened registration for a news and design seminar, called "Oulu24," which will take place May 14 to 16 and aims to recognize excellence and strengthen visual journalism as a profession. Registration is open until April 24.

The international forum will take place in Oulu, Finland during the famous northern white nights festival -- a celebration of summer. The Society for News Design is an international professional organization with over 2,600 members in more than 50 countries across the world. It encourages high standards of journalism through design.
